After supplying the BBC with a little sample of what I mean by how I lay out the marks in my typewriter art, I thought I might aswell upload this little sample to the web, and make more little videos.  So here is the first.

Thanks to Maya for holding the camera and making it work whilst I typed.  I could'nt have done it without you.  Especially as my camera is about to die once and for all.

Woaah, freaky Rainbows!

So I just watched the end of Wimbledon , had a little cry (what?! it was emotional!), and then the heavens opened.  From inside my studio "it sounded like someone'd emptied about a million packets of dried peas onto the roof ".  I had to open the door to see the rain..  I was not prepared at all for what I was about to witness.

The end of a rainbow.  The end of a rainbow, ending EXACTLY where my stall was earlier at the market (where that car is).

I hope to have my stall in that pitch again!

New mailing list message...HOT newses!

Latest news: Studio Sale | BBC One Show | Globo Brazil | Soundwave Festival, Croatia -

Although the studio sale has been and gone (today) it went really well (despite the rain) for half of the time - So I hope to make that more of a regular thing this 'Summer'.

Back to Bradleys today 3-6ish...ish, ish

Back to Bradley's bar on Hanway Street today to continue my studies of its fascinating interior...whilst soaking up the atmosphere  and translating that into type.

I love how long the vinyl jukebox must've been there for just like the rest of  the decor, that those things remain (i'm sure its not purely for the money it rakes in), patient and solid whilst everything else  moves about ,  its like we borrow some of their timeless (...or, 1960's) charm for the evening when we go there.
How comfortable this place makes us (me) feel, especially against the contrasting ever-refurbishing surroundings of central London.

Type you soon Bradley's...

Show in Selfridges, Oxford Street - Words Words Words

Last week I installed about 20 originals/prints of my typewriter art works and jewellery into Selfridges, Oxford Street, London.

The concept store (ground floor far left side entrance of the building if you looking from Oxford Street) plays host to the current pop-up store Words Words Words and my work fits in a treat with that theme, being deconstructed words and all!

Its been featured in Time Out, read the feature here

I was really excited about the chance to have a big wall space to work with, as it was a chance for me to explore communicating my process to the customers without being there, hence an installation featuring one of my favourite 'showpiece' typewriters.

I will be typing out and about for the duration of the show capturing London's Landmarks  - details of this will be posted up on here and Facebook /Twitter .  The sales team in the concept store will also be notified if I'm somewhere central to be found, so if you're nearby and want to see me working hopefully you can!

I'm also hatching a plan for a live event instore at some point during February.

Hope you can make it down there!
